Hi guys. I hope everyone had a really awesome 4th of July. I woke up and watched a special on the History channel about the revolutionary war and cried like three times. Later that day, we went to my aunt's house. She has a swimming party every year, and my WHOLE family goes. It's great because I love seeing everyone, obviously. Dave wore really awful swimming trunks and a Hawaiian shirt open over his bare chest, so that really impressed everyone.
We also went to our friend's house for grilling and fireworks that night--every year they have the craziest, most illegal, gigantic firework show. This year there were over 3,000 bottle rockets and they were all lit off at the same time. It's a highly anticipated event among our friends each year.
No photos of that, really. Well, here's one of the pinata that one of my friends set on fire with an artillery shell. Sometimes it's nice being childless.

okay, so that was that. this weekend we also finished painting our two rooms (two left!)

See the color? Before it was a kind of dirty butter yellow. Dingy. The big room (in the foreground) is a dark slate grey, and the inside room is a lighter shade of the same color. The red paint on the bottom half of the room was there before--we decided it didn't look bad, and we're renting, and we're lazy. So we left it there. That's Dave setting up his computer.
